Ten Movies You Should See In 2014

Hey,guys! Happy new year and who gives a damn about where I have been. Let's get down to business! Here are ten movies I think you should see in 2014.

10. 300: Rise Of An Empire | Starring Eva Green, Sullivan Stapleton | Release date: March 7,2014
300: Rise of an Empire (2014) Poster

The sequel the highly quoted and badass movie 300, this sequel will focus mostly on  Themistocles(Sullivan Stapleton) and Artemisia I of Caria(Eva Green), as well as Xerxes I of Persia(Rodrigo Santoro) (Sorry I had to copy that, I'm too lazy to type out the whole thing). The fate of an empire rest upon Artemisia's shoulders as she had to lead a navy of Spartans against Persian forces and Greek city state forces at a battle at sea. The movie will also explain how Xerxes became a "god king". I hope this highly anticipated sequel will have as many memorable action scenes and quotable lines as the first one.

9. Captain America: Winter Solider | Starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johanessen , Samuel L .Jackon, Robert Redford | Release date: April 4,2014

Yet another sequel, this time to the 2011 Marvel hit Captain America: The First Avenger, we find that Steve Rogers (Aka Captain America) has settled down in Washington D.C, still adjusting to modern life after the events of The Avengers. However, a new conspiracy emerges and the captain gets entangled in it's web. He then has to face an unavoidable enemy, the Winter Solider.

8. The Grand Budapest Hotel | Starring Ralph Fiennes, William Dafoe, Jude Law,Bill Murray, Edward Norton | Release date: March 7,2014

I couldn't do this list without mentioning this new indie hit from director Wes Anderson. Featuring an ensemble cast, this movie takes in 1920s Europe, a famed hotel concierge by the name of Gutstav H( Ralph Fiennes) inherits a painting named "Boy With Apple" after a one night stand Madame D. (Tilda Swinton) is killed. Her son is furious and wants him arrested for murder. Gustav H. with the help with a new found friend friend, a bellhop boy by the name of Zero Moustafa ( Tony Revolori) must hide the painting from the authorities and Madame D's son and face the rival hotel, Excelsior Palace owned by M.Ivan (Bill Murray).

7. Godzilla | Starring Aaron Taylor Johnson, Bryan Cranston, Eblizabeth Olsen | Release date: May 16, 2014

Guess who is fighting Godzilla? That's right, Walter White and one of the Oslen twins is fighting the radioactive monster. Not much is known about this second American reboot of Godzilla but however here is an official statement on the film by it`s studio, Legendary Studios:

``"An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence"—Legendary Pictures

6.  The Hobbit: There and Back Again  | Starring Martin Freeman, Ian Mckellen, Benedict Cumbertach
I have enjoyed the last two Hobbit movies (some have enjoyed it, some have not), this movie will feature Smaug  the dragon attacking Lake Town and the Battle of Five Armies. Hopefully this will be a stunning and awesome finale to the Hobbit trilogy.

5.  Divergent  | Starring Shaliene Woodley, Kate Winslet  | Release date: March 21,2014

Based on the best-selling worldwide seller, the YA trilogy is finally getting it`s big scene adaption. Beatrice Prior ( Shaliene Woodley) is a teen living in a dystopian Chicago where she discovers her mind is different then other people's. However an authoritarian leader, Jeanine Matthews (Kate Winslet) wants to exterminate her kind and bring together a divided soicety.

4. Noah | Starring Russell Crowe, Emma Watson, Anthony Hopkins | Release date: March 28,2014

2014 seems like a year for movies based on biblical stories with also Ridley Scott's Exodus (starring Christian Bale and Aaron Paul). This movie will portray Noah (Rusell Crowe) as having guilt as being a survivor and being a more complex then biblical Noah. Noah, receiving visions from god, decides to build a ark to save him and his family. Featuring ALOT of CGI animals and a king and also a 900 year old Anthony Hopkins, this biblical epic does actually looks pretty damn epic.

3. The Monuments Men | Starring George Clooney, Matt Damon, Cate Blanchett, Bill Murray | Release date:  February 7,2014
 The Monuments Men (2014) Poster
This movie was going to be released on December 7,2013, however since the special effects couldn't in time, it was moved to February 7. be  To save Europe's culture from the hand of the Nazis, an unlikely platoon (and unlikely cast) must go deep into enemy territory to save thousands of paintings and artwork. Featuring an ensemble cast, this film as dubbed as "the next Argo". This movie looks like it's full of thrills, action-wise and political-wise. A potential best picture winner? Maybe.

2. The Amazing Spiderman 2 | Starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Paul Giamtti | Release date: May 2, 2014

The sequel to the 2012 reboot,Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) a.k.a Spiderman is starting to learn more about his mom and dad. However, Oscorp sends a slew of super villains against him and he face his greatest battle yet. Along the way, he finds out the truth about Oscorp, his father and much more in this highly awaited sequel.

1. Interstellar | Starring Matthew Mconguaghey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Micheal Caine | Release date: November 7, 2014
Interstellar (2014) Poster

I am a huge Christopher Nolan fan ( The Dark Knight and Inception are two of my favourite movies) and from what I've seen in the trailer in this movie, the idea of it seems pretty damn cool.  Not much is known about this new movie, however here is a statement of it from IMDb:

"A group of explorers make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage"

I believe this movie will be awesome visually and story wise too.
